Join Saga and Jökull on a Journey of Adventure

Mappa léttAre you planning a family trip to west Iceland? May we introduce Saga, a nine-year-old girl, who loves travelling with her parents. On one of their many journeys she meets Jökull, an elf, whom only she can see. Saga’s name means “story” and Jökull is the Icelandic word for “glacier”.

Saga and Jökull agree to meet at ten different places in west Iceland. Each of these places offers all kinds of adventures for kids and their families. When you visit, you will not only experience your own adventures, but also learn about the adventures of Saga and Jökull.

When arriving at your first destination, you will be given a folder in which you’ll learn about how Saga and Jökull met for the first time. In this folder you can collect stories and stamps or stickers, as each place on the Adventure Map has a unique story of what happened when Saga and Jökull met there. You will discover, just like Saga, that sometimes Jökull appears out of the blue and sometimes she needs to wait for a loooong time before he arrives!

You can keep your stories, colour the pictures and read them again and again. Who knows, you might even meet Saga and Jökull yourself!

The stories of Saga and Jökull are provided specially for all our guests purchasing services at the ten destinations on the map. After visiting five places you will get a small gift, and yet another when you’ve collected 10 stamps or stickers.

At the 10 places on your Adventure Map, you will find Saga and Jökull and so much more - each place has something exciting and unique to offer families and children!
