Information Centres
A pleasent trip creates pleasent memories.
Visiting tourist information centres is worth its while, since they provide information about everything there is to offer, either in Iceland as a whole or in the vicinity. The information centres carry lists of service locations, recreation, events and natural attractions.
Information centres in Iceland are classified according to the level of service they provide. Regional information centres are located in each quadrant of the country and provide information about tourism and travelling in Iceland as a whole.
A regional information centre for West Iceland is located in Hyrnutorg shopping centre at Borgarbraut 58-60 in Borgarnes and open all year round. Besides the regional centre in Borgarnes, six local information centres are operated in this part of the country providing information about their neighbouring areas.
The regional information centre for West Iceland in Borgarnes and Snorrastofa in Reykholt are open all year round, but other information offices are open during summer.
