Lava Water Gisting

Lava Water offers accommodation on two locations: at the farm Miðhrauni 2 and at Lynghaga, located on the southern part of Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

Six types of accommodation offering space for a total of 51 persons. Kitchen facilities, made up beds, towels and free Wi-Fi included. Suitable for both individuals and groups. It is possible to order breakfast.

Here you can relax and surround yourself with the sight and sound of the beautiful Icelandic countryside or take a trip around the Snæfellsnes peninsula. From Miðhraun you can hike on the mountains Ljósufjöll or Rauðakúla or take a shorter hike in the area.

Playground with trampoline, fun for both children and adults.

The farm is an organic sheep farm, which also has horses and Icelandic chickens, contributing to the farm's colorful atmosphere.

At the farm Olkelda, near Stadarstadur, in the south of Snaefellsnes, there is a mineral spring with carbonated water.

Stadarstadur

Ari-the-Wise served as a priest at Stadastadur from 1067-1148. He is well-known for his Book of Icelanders, the first work of history written in Iceland.

The place is also the setting of a very known novel by the Nobel price winning Icelandic author Halldor Kiljan Laxness: "Under the glacier".
