Reykjavík to Akranes, 49 km, paved road:
Reykjavík – Hvalfjörður (tunnel) – Akranes
(drive road 1 through the tunnel and then you drive road 51 to Akranes)

Reykjavík to Stykkishólmur, 172 km, paved road:
Reykjavík – Hvalfjörður (tunnel) – Borgarnes – Vegamót – Stykkishólmur
(Drive road 1 to Borgarnes, there take the road 54 to Vegamót and drive from there on road 56 until you reach road 54 again. Drive road 54 until you turn to road 58 to Stykkishólmur)

Reykjavík to Ólafsvík, 194 km, paved road:
There is a 3 ways to drive to Ólafsvík

Nr.1. Reykjavík – Hvalfjörður (tunnel) – Borgarnes – Vegamót – Fróðarheiði – Ólafsvík
(Drive road 1 to Borgarnes then you drive road 54 all the way to Ólafsvík)

Nr.2. Reykjavík – Hvalfjörður (tunnel) – Borgarnes – Vegamót – Hellissandur – Rif – Ólafsvík
(Drive road 1 to Borgarnes then you drive road 54 to junction of Fróðarheiði and then road 574 drive that road through Hellissandur and Rif then you reach to Ólafsvík)

Nr. 3. Reykjavík – Hvalfjörður (tunnel) – Borgarnes – Vegamót – Grundarfjörður – Ólafvík
(Drive road 1 to Borgarnes then drive road 54 to Vegamót then drive road 56 and again you drive road 54 through Grundarfjörður and then you reach to Ólafsvík)

Reykjavík to Bifröst, 104 km, paved road:
Reykjavík – Hvalfjörður (tunnel) – Borgarnes – Bifröst
(Drive road 1 through Borgarnes and then you reach to Bifröst)

Reykjavík to Búðardalur, 135 km, paved road:
Reykjavík – Hvalfjörður (tunnel) – Borgarnes – Bifröst – Brattabrekka – Búðardalur
(Drive road 1 through Borgarnes and go past Bifröst and then take road 60 over Brattabrekka then you vill reach to Búðardalur)

Reykjavík to Hvanneyri, 84km, paved road:
Reykjavík – Hvalfjörður (tunnel) – Hvanneyri
(Drive road 1 almost to Borgarnes then take road 50 to Hvanneyri)

Reykjavík to Reykholt, 108km, paved road:
Reykjavík – Hvalfjörður (tunnel) – Reykholt
(Drive road 1 almost to Borgarnes then take road 50 and go past Hvanneyri and then you will reach to Reykholt)

Reykjavík to Húsafell, 131 km, paved road:
Reykjavík – Hvalfjörður (tunnel) – Reykholt – Húsafell
(Drive road 1 almost to Borgarnes then take road 50 and go past Hvanneyri and also past Reykholt and then you will reach to Húsafell)
