Miðvikudaginn 20.maí var haldin upplýsingafundur vegna almyrkvans en um var að ræða netfund í gegnum forritið Teams og var það Markaðsstofa Vesturlands sem boðaði fundinn til að miðla upplýsingum til samráðsvettvangs Vesturlands. Þar voru mætt fulltrúar lögreglunnar á Vesturlandi, HVE, Snæfellsjökulsþjóðgarði og frá sveitarfélögum á Vesturlandi en einnig voru þar þjónustuaðilar og áhugasamir íbúar sem vildu fá upplýsingar um almyrkvann.

Ferðamálastofa býður ferðaþjónustuaðilum og öðrum hagaðilum til viðburðar í tilefni af Global Accessibility Awareness Day, fimmtudaginn 21. maí n.k. frá kl. 10:00 - 11:00. Viðburðurinn fer fram á Teams og verður í beinu streymi en nauðsynlegt að skrá sig.

While Walter’s adventure takes him to places portrayed as Greenland and the Himalayas, Iceland becomes one of the film’s true highlights. Its dramatic scenery and breathtaking landscapes play a major role throughout the movie, making it one of the first major Hollywood productions to showcase Iceland so prominently. Filming took place in seven different locations across the country, from Seyðisfjörður in the East Fjords to Stykkishólmur on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in West Iceland.
