Located on the eastern edge of Ólafsvík by the Hvalsá river, the campsite offers toilets, showers, hot and cold running water, cooking facilities, waste disposal, and electricity. There is also a playground on site.
The campsite is adjacent to a beautiful woodland area and a disc golf course, providing great outdoor recreation for visitors of all ages. The grounds are relatively flat, fenced, and well sheltered. It is just a 10-minute walk to the centre of Ólafsvík and approximately 15 minutes on foot to the local swimming pool. Several excellent hiking trails begin from or pass near the campsite, making it an ideal base for exploring Ólafsvík and its surroundings.
