Hraunfossar Restaurant
A new restaurant, café and giftshop at Hraunfossar Waterfalls. We bid you welcome and offer a buffet with a good choice of courses. Enjoy our coffee, cakes and sandwiches, hot and cold drinks as well as ice-cream. We have a big porch where you can enjoy the view and your meal. We also sell souvenirs and local art. Fishing licences for fishing at Arnarvatsheiði are available here.
Hotel Á
Hótel Á is an old farm refurbished as a restaurant and guesthouse, located between Reykholt and Húsafell. Our guests eat in a cow-shed and sleep in a barn. All 15 rooms have private facilities. Free internet access in the lobby and restaurant. We serve a set menu for dinner, in the restaurant with a wonderful panoramic view over the river Hvítá. We like it quiet and easy going.

Krauma
Experience nature from its core by bathing in the geothermal baths at Krauma. The hot water originates in Europe’s most powerful hot spring Deildartunguhver, at a temperature of 100°C (212°F). To achieve the perfect bathing temperature we mix the hot water with cold water from Rauðsgil, which originates in the glacier Ok, the smallest glacier in Iceland. Krauma offers five relaxing natural geothermal baths, a cold tub to get your blood circulation going, two calming saunas and a relaxation room where you can rest by the fireplace while listening to soothing music. The Settlement Center in Borgarnes
Offering a wealth of information, the Settlement Center provides a wonderful insight into Iceland’s history. It also gives you the chance to put your visit into the context of the country’s past. The exhibitions recreate the fascinating drama of the sagas and the birth of this island nation. They also bring to life one of Iceland’s most important cultural treasures, Egils Saga.  
Hotel Varmaland
The hotel has 58 refurbished rooms in Scandinavian style, equipped with all necessary amenities. The rooms are different in size and retain the charm of the old building. Economy room is a good option for one person or a couple but in the Standard rooms it is possible to choose between double bed or twin bed. Deluxe and Superior rooms are larger and possible to add extra bed so the rooms can accommodate up to three guests. All rooms are with private bathroom and bath products, a tv, tea - and coffee-making facilities and WiFi is available throughout the hotel. Breakfast is included in the accommodation and is served at the forth floor restaurant Calor from 08:00 to 10:00 on weekdays and from 08:00 to 10:30 on weekends. Check-in is from 15:00 during the day and check-out is until 11:00.
Englendingavik
In the old part of Borgarnes town (village) lies a beautiful cove, called "Englendingavík". The name interestingly enough means "The Englishman Cove (or Bay)". This place is both scenic  and peaceful,  where silence is only broken by the sound of birds and the ever changing sea. The old buildings standing at the bottom of the cove used to be the region´s center for trade and commerce but now they are housing the restaurant with attached lodging facilities. Besides the restaurant is a separate building called Sjávarborg "Height by the Sea", offering first rate home lodgings. The oldest building was constructed in 1885 but all the buildings were thoroughly renovated 10 years ago. The Englendingavík RestaurantWe put our emphasis on a relaxed and cozy atmosphere to go with the spirit of the old buildings by the Bay. As for food, we focus on Icelandic fish.   Opening hours summer 2021, daily from 13:00 to 21:00.  The restaurant has a one-of-a-kind view towards the sea, with its islands and rocks, teaming with bird life, as well as the occasional curious seal. The terrace extending south of the restaurant gives a good shelter from the north and north-eastern breeze. It is a real treat to sit there in the sun enjoying good food and drinks in a good company. The Sjávarborg home lodging facilitiesStanding close by the sea, Sjávarborg is a typically Icelandic corrugated iron building, dating from 1890. We offer comfortable lodgings, ranging from large family rooms, sleeping up to four people, and a variety of double rooms. All include full size beds with linen and a shared bathrooms. Guests at Sjávarborg have access to a fully equipped kitchen for your own cooking and a common room and of course free Wi-Fi. Breakfast trays can be ordered separately. We kindly request our  guests to keep in mind that Sjávarborg is an old building with a soul. This includes creaking floor-boards and therefore due consideration is necessary.  The reward is a really good nights sleep, and that extra relaxing feel that only old wooden building have.
Hotel Bifröst
Hotel Bifrost is a cosy hotel at a very beautiful and scenic location at the heart of Borgarfjordur. The hotel is located at the Icelandic ring-road - highway no. one - 102 km distance from Reykjavík and is therefore only one and half an hours drive away from Iceland´s capital.At Hotel Bifrost there are 52 spaceous, cosy, light rooms for two persons each. All the rooms have a separate WC and a shower, satellite TV and an internet connection. Geirabakarí Café Konditori
Geirabakarí is a bakery located in Borgarnes, only an hour‘s drive from Reykjavík. The bakery offers a variety of cakes and pastries as well as club sandwiches. It also offers good quality coffee and tea or hot chocolate. If you are not very hungry but longing for a treat then Geirabakarí is the place to go with its comfortable surroundings and an amazing view.

Hraunsnef country hotel
Five rooms on the ground floor and ten on the second floor. The second floor rooms have a view over the valley from every window and the first floor romms have a private patio. The hotel consists of 15 rooms. The rooms have the names of gods from norse mythology and are decorated in different styles. The rooms all have the same equipment: separate entrance, bathroom with shower, hair dryer and hair straightener, bathrobe and slippers and a Television.

Fossatún Pod Village
The Fossatún Pod Village is a new kind of accommodation that consists of camping pods with sleeping space for 2-3 persons at a reasonable price. The pods are sleeping bag accommodations with access to bathrooms, showers, hot tubs, BBQ and kitchen and dining facilities. Bed linen can be rented if guests do not have sleeping bags. The Pod Village is in the center of the Western Region of Iceland and therefore convenient to travel from in different directions to explore the area.
