The opening concert of the Reykholt Music Festival will feature the soprano Herdís Anna Jónasdóttir and pianist Bjarni Frímann Bjarnason who will perform well known opera arias. Violinist Auður Hafsteinsdóttir and cellist Bryndís Halla Gylfadóttir will perform the string duo by Icelandic composer Jón Nordal, who celebrated his 95th birthday this year. The program also includes the much beloved g-minor string quintet by Mozart.
