Hafnarfjall Ultra – Borgarnes
Hafnarfjall Ultra will take place for the second time on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Borgarnes. The race is organized by the local running group Flandri, known for hosting the popular Flandrasprettir 5 km winter running series.
This off-road running event offers a range of distances, making it suitable for both experienced trail runners and families:
- Hafnarfjall Tintur – 15.08 km | 844 m elevation
- Hafnarfjall 7 Tindar – 23.87 km | 1,218 m elevation
- Hafnarfjall 7 Tindar og Dalir – 36.20 km | 2,316 m elevation
- Hafnarfjall Family Run – 2.39 km | 155 m elevation
The three longer distances start and finish at Borgarfjörður Secondary School, next to Nettó in Borgarnes. The Family Run begins on a gravel road at the base of Hafnarfjall, with shuttle buses transporting participants to the start and back after the race.
