On this tour we will MEET SOME OF THE LOCALS ...TASTE SOME OF THE TRADITIONAL ICELANDIC FOOD ...AND GET IN TOUCH WITH NATURE ...

 

Our first stop on this West Iceland Adventure is Akranes. At Akranes we will meet Hilmar, the Lighthouse Keeper, visit Guðlaug natural pool and the Museum Area. We will also listen to Folk Songs and taste some organic delicacies at Café Kaja.

   

We will drive through the beautiful Borgarfjörður towards Langjökull Glacier. On the way we will stop at the incredible Lava Waterfalls, Hraunfossar, explore the ground from below at Víðgelmir Lava Cave, learn about its history and geological uniqueness which dates all the way back to the Viking Age. When we have returned to the surface of the earth we will visit the brand new Canyon Baths where we will soak and relax in the middle of the Nature

  

We will wake up reasonably early and have breakfast at the brand new hotel in Varmaland before we head to Reykholt where we will learn a little bit about Snorri Sturluson and his previous way of life. Next stop is at Deildartunguhver, the most powerful Hot spring in Europe where we will enjoy the delightful nature Baths and Spa at Krauma. On our way back we will visit Brynjar at Hotel Laxárbakki and get an introduction of the activities there before we drive the amazing Hvalfjörður Bay before we head back to Akranes. We will meet Arnheiður at Bjarteyjarsandur farm and visit Hotel Glymur, the beautiful countryside Hotel in Hvalfjörður Bay.
